Stephanie Witzigmann - Executive Director

Hi,

My name is Stephanie. I’m married with 8 amazing kids—two biological, two stepchildren, two placements, and two adopted.  I have a background in case management having worked as a case worker for adults with IDD for five years and ran a women’s homeless shelter for two years. My husband and I have been foster parents for 8 years where we have cared for dozens of children over that time.  We have a heart for shared parenting and fostering successful relationships with biological families that have led to supportive connections with those families.  Some of these connections have been maintained post reunification into opportunities for informal support.  In 2024, we were nominated by Jefferson County and selected as one of the 2024 Governor’s Foster and Adoptive Family Award recipients. I had the privilege of meeting Carissa during her time with the county, and our connection has since grown into a trusted friendship and successful business partnership.
